biostream® EXAGEN: chlorine dioxide without activation

biostream® EXAGEN combines chlorine dioxide formed in situ without an activation step, temperature stability up to 80 °C and a shelf life of two years. For hygiene-critical industries that focus on efficiency.

On contact with water, EXAGEN forms chlorine dioxide for combating waterborne germs, including Legionella, E. coli and Pseudomonas, and biofilms. Areas of use are pipes, containers and tanks, drinking water distribution systems, dispensing systems and dental units.

What is biostream® EXAGEN?

biostream® EXAGEN is a disinfectant concentrate from biostream® GmbH based on chlorine dioxide (ClO₂). The active substance forms only on contact with water. EXAGEN therefore needs no separate activator and no preparation time.

EXAGEN disinfects water-carrying systems: pipes, containers and tanks, drinking water distribution systems, dispensing systems and dental units. After use, the system is rinsed out completely. The reason: chlorine dioxide and the second chlorine-oxide component are each permitted individually in the Trinkwasserverordnung (German Drinking Water Ordinance), but their mixture is not.

Specific instructions for use and dosing are given in the technical documents. We will advise you personally on your system.
